This site, Akiba-i, Akihabara Information, is aimed to an Akihabara’s gateway to introduce new and fun information about Akihabara town for everyone, who comes to the town as a resident, student, shopper, or tourist.

Originally, this site was started as a joint project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Chiyoda-ku, and Town’s Future Chiyoda Foundation to apply the outcome of their advanced parking information experiment. Then, this site was launched in March 15, 2006 to provide traffic information, such as parking availability and traffic restrictions, through the web sites and cell phones.

On August 2006, we renewed the site to improve services. New site is providing not only about the traffic and parking information, but also about transport access information, town event news, living index and shopping guide.
