When you decide to move in to Akihabara, please check the list below. Those are the things that you need to do. We recommend finishing those works as soon as possible, so that you could enjoy new life in Akihabara.

City Gas	Call nearest Tokyo Gas service station or access to their web site to notify your name, new address and date of moving in. If you do not know where to contact, we recommend to ask the real estate that handled your contracts to the new home.	To open a gas stopcock, a city gas operator visits your home to do it. Water	Call nearest service station of the Bureau of Tokyo Waterworks to notify your name, new address and the date of moving in. Water will be useable from the day of your moving in. If you do not know where to contact, please ask municipal office	Fill out the application form of postcard hanging at the door of your new residence and mail it to the Bureau of Waterworks. Electricity	Call nearest Tokyo electric power company’s service station or access to their web site to notify your name, new address and date of moving in. If you do not know where to contact, we recommend to ask the real estate that you made a contract to the new home.	Turn on a breaker to start the supply. If, in case, the electricity does not work, please contact nearest service station. Telephone	Call to apply for telephone service, and notify your name, new address and date to start the service.	(For a new customer): Please visit nearest NTT service centre to register for a new telephone line. Representative will check your ID for stating a new contarct. At the time of application, you also need to pay contract fee and subscription fee. If, in case, your new resident has no telephone line available, you need to book for set up with NTT.	ＮＴＴ East
Address Registrations	When you are moving out, you need to fill out the change of address form at the nearest municipal office before the moving out and no later then 14 days after moving out. After, you have submitted the change of address form, the municipal office issue a certificate for the acceptance of change of address form. This certificate will be necessary to register new address. If you have registered the Basic Residential Registers Network System, you could submit the changing address form by mail.	When you are moving in from anther municipal district, you need to submit a new address form with the change of address certificate that was issued by the municipal office at your old address. The new address form must be submitted within 14 days after your moving in. If you have used the basic residential registers network system and have mailed the change of address form, please show your basic residential registers card when you submit the new address form. 	※when you submit those forms, please bring your ID, such as driver’s license, with you. ※To register or to change address for National Health Insurance, please contact a municipal office near you for further direction. ※When you move within Chiyoda-ku, please submit change of address form at a municipal office near you or submit to Chiyoda-ku central office.
Greeting		It is recommended to introduce yourself to your landlord or manager. To introduce yourself to neighbors might be a good start to adjust new environment.

• recyclable materials (paper, bin bottle, can, Styrofoam tray, etc), combustible garbage and non combustible garbage are collected according to the collection day.
  Collection does not be absent on rainy days as well as holidays.
